empty as a gourd

Ninety-one degrees here yesterday--but today it should get only as high as the mid-seventies. To celebrate I'll be spending time outside, away from the intarweb. Perhaps after breathing real air (oooh, can't wait) some stray thought will creep into my echoing head, which is currently empty as a gourd. In which case I'll post something.

Or, y'know, maybe not. Wherever you are, have a great Friday.

Where are you? What are you planning for this weekend?

  1. Off work early-- listening to downstair neighbors fight ("You're ruining it!"), gym as soon as I get off my lazy duff, then DnD tonight. Tommorow BBQ in the park, Sunday play rehearsal!

  2. Sitting in my office, looking out at Central Park and the never ending rain. The weather is supposed to improve tomorrow. I am getting together with my entire family to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. I am really looking forward to this weekend, it should be fun.

  4. Haven't been able to get this through. Am trying again. Our weather in Detroit area has been really nice. In the 70's with breeze. We are doing the Pride Day in Ferndale tomorrow with Dykes on Bikes Detroit. It was supposed to rain but now they are saying only 30%. Looking forward to seeing all the Girls and their bikes.

  5. Enjoy your weekend! I'm working, per usual, at the REI, but I have managed to write a little each day this month. Keepin' it positive and ignoring that tree that fell down in the middle of my yard. I'll deal with that next day off...

  6. Wow, you're all busier than me. This is going to be a quiet, still weekend for me: I'll just drift through everything that isn't Hild-related with a vaguely benign smile and a smooth mind.

  7. Spent the weekend at a small inn in Madera Canyon, Green Valley, south of Tucson, being pestered by a flock (really, more like a herd) of wild turkeys. No TV, fresh air, birdsong, organic kale salads with homemade dressing, great books, and lots of rest. Did I mention the wild turkeys knocking on my door at 1 a.m.?
